VNIIFTRI presents its measurement capabilities as part of the “Russian Energy Week”

Moscow Region, September 26 – The Russian Metrological Institute of Technical Physics and Radio Engineering (VNIIFTRI), as part of the Rosstandart show-bench, presents promising developments and advanced measuring instruments for the fuel and energy industry at the Exhibition of Equipment and Technologies for the Fuel and Energy Complex, held as part of the VII International Forum "Russian Energy Week".

"The development of the energy industry is one of the priorities of the state policy of the Russian Federation. As part of the Rosstandart system, VNIIFTRI presents State Standards and equipment at the Forum, which play a key role in the digitalization of the FEC and the development of its information structure. Innovative measuring instruments contribute to improving the working efficiency and safety of energy systems, providing the necessary accuracy in managing energy flows and helping to achieve national and global goals for sustainable energy development," noted Andrey Shchipunov, Deputy General Director of FSUE “VNIIFTRI”.

Among VNIIFTRI equipment on display there are devices developed by the institute's specialists with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation: a superminiature quantum frequency standard (NAP KPN) - a generator of highly stable frequency signals; a new line of power meters that will replace outdated equipment and some foreign analogues; a high–precision relative gravimeter "Peshekhod" - a device for measuring gravity applied in various sectors of the energy industry; modular precision time and frequency interval meter that provides key measurements necessary for reliable and efficient operation of energy systems; as well as a modular digital oscilloscope with a bandwidth of up to 1 GHz - an important instrument for diagnostics, testing and optimization of energy systems. All devices are developed on the basis of accessible electronic component base and using domestic software.

The show-bench also presented the SAD motor fuel quality indicator, the Sever-4 wet gas generator, which provides the necessary conditions for calibration, verification and research related to measuring and controlling the humidity of gaseous media, temperature and humidity sensors, reference materials and buffer solutions for laboratory tests.

As part of the Rosstandart exposition, visitors can also get acquainted with the State primary standards of the RST system, which are a key link in the chain of ensuring the accuracy and reliability of measurements in the energy sector.

The International Forum “Russian Energy Week” (REW) is the largest discussion platform of international level in Russia for discussing trends in the development of the global fuel and energy complex, identifying key areas for the development of FEC and finding optimal solutions in response to existing challenges.

The Forum is attended by heads of states and governments, representatives of major international energy companies and industry leaders, leading global experts and media representatives.
