Research department of ensuring the uniformity of measurements in the development, testing and application of products (NIO-10)

The Research Department for ensuring the uniformity of measurements in the development, testing and application of products is a structural subdivision of FSUE “VNIIFTRI” and performs a wide range of works in the field of ensuring the uniformity of measurements, interacts with a wide range of industrial organizations on issues of metrological support in the development, testing and application of products and also conducts product testing.

Key objectives of NIO-10:

• improvement of scientific, organizational and methodological principles for ensuring the uniformity of measurements in the development, testing and application of products;
• maintaining the required level of metrological support for the development, testing and application of products;
• ensuring the interaction of the subdivisions of FSUE «VNIIFTRI» when performing metrological examination and conformity assessment of test means;
• ensuring the required quality of product testing in accordance with the areas of accreditation of the testing departments of the institute and during R&D;
• improvement of methods and test means of products;
• ensuring the required level of test reliability;
• ensuring the uniformity of gas analytical measurements;
• identification of problems in the field of theoretical and legal metrology and determination of ways to solve them;
• improvement of the legislative and regulatory base for ensuring the uniformity of measurements;
• ensuring the functioning of FSUE «VNIIFTRI» as a state scientific metrological institute;
• information support for metrological works.
