A major task of VNIIFTRI as a national metrological institute is to maintain the uniformity of measurements in Russia and abroad, as well as to develop and improve technologies that are required for the development of the domestic industry and economy.

The institute employs its innovation experience and unique scientific and technical basis to produce precision measuring instruments and provides metrological services to all of the branches of Russian industry and economy and to foreign customers.

As a signatory to the CIPM MRA, VNIIFTRI is authorized to use the CIPM MRA logo on its calibration certificates.

The calibration and measurement capabilities of VNIIFTRI are supported by the CMCs published in the BIPM key comparison database. Currently VNIIFTRI has a total of 310 CMCs in the KCDB.

VNIIFTRI calibration certificates with the CIPM MRA logo are recognized in 53 member states of the BIPM.

• Calibration of measuring instruments within the CIPM MRA calibration and measuring capabilities

Under the CIPM MRA, VNIIFTRI is authorized to use the CIPM MRA logo on its calibration certificates within its calibration and measurement capabilities.

The calibration and measurement capabilities of VNIIFTRI are published in Appendix C of the BIPM KCDB (www.kcdb.bipm.org, Appendix C). Calibration certificates with the CIPM MRA logo are recognized internationally, including within ILAC.
